On 6-7 September 2012, the OSCE Gender Section hosted an expert roundtable focusing on the significant barriers faced by women from migrant, minority and Roma and Sinti communities in relation to social, economic and political integration. The report consolidates the recommendations from the roundtable and identifies potential actions and next steps for participating States, civil society and OSCE structures towards strengthening women from migrant, minority and Roma and Sinti communities to act as agents of change, as well as includes a a summary of the roundtable sessions, recommendations and examples of best practices highlighted by the participants.

This guidebook provides guidance on the central issues that can have an impact on the success or failure of police efforts to harness a community-policing approach to preventing terrorism and countering violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism. It is primarily intended for policymakers and senior police professionals, but may also be a useful resource for members of civil society with an interest in these issues, in particular community leaders.

The overall objective of the “Best Practices for Roma Integration (BPRI)” project is to contribute to the integration of Roma minorities in the Western Balkans, in accordance with the beneficiaries’ commitments as OSCE participating States and perspective members of the European Union. This report intends to contribute to this overall objective by providing a situation anal¬ysis of the housing conditions of Roma in the Western Balkans and by documenting good learning practice on legalization of land and buildings, upgrading of (informal) Roma settlements and the provision of social housing.

The book is prepared with the support of OSCE Mission to Skopje extended to the Institute of Journalism, Media and Communications, within the Faculty of Law „Iustinianus I“ within „Ss. Cyril and Methodius„ University in Skopje. It is intended for journalists, journalism students, media and their editors, as well as the general public, dealing with the issues of freedom of expression, hate speech, defamation and insult, as well as the legal framework in the country.

The guidebook was prepared by the Armenian Prosecutor's Office and Armenian Civil Servants' Union with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan to improve the communication skills of civil servants working in prosecution and introduce the ethical norms of civil servants. Not available in English.

The Handbook contains a comprehensive analysis of the procedures regarding access to environmental information and public participation in environmental decision-making processes prescribed by different laws and a review of current administrative and judicial practice related to public participation in environmental protection procedures. The Handbook also includes case law analyses of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights and portrays the current practice of the Commissioner for Access to Information of Public Importance. It is intended for judges dealing with administrative judicial matters, civil servants who conduct environmental procedures, representatives of civil society and general public and undergraduate and postgraduate law students. The guidebook was prepared by the Environment and Security Initiative as a useful source for the best practices and policies for sustainable mining and closure of mines. It was translated and published into Armenian with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.
