On 20 to 22 June 2023, the OSCE and regional partners held a capacity-building course in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for professors of higher education institutions on the OSCE-developed curriculum on "Crime Prevention and Culture of Lawfulness".

On 19 June 2023, the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department (TNTD) and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA), in co-operation with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the Programme Office in Bishkek, launched a comprehensive awareness raising campaign throughout Kyrgyzstan on preventing youth involvement in organized crime, corruption and drug use.

The Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network (BAMIN) held its first Steering Group Meeting of this year on 30 and 31 May 2023, in Chisinau, Moldova. During the meeting, the Moldovan National Anti-Corruption Centre’s Criminal Assets Recovery Agency took over the Presidency of the BAMIN, previously held by Montenegro’s Department of Confiscated Property Management within the Cadastre and State Property Administration.

The PCUz supported the visit of a delegation of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ACA), headed by its Deputy Director Ms. Umida Tukhtasheva, to Paris from 23 to 25 May 2023. On 24 and 25 May, the delegation participated in the 2023 OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum to discuss policy solutions and business innovations that strengthen integrity and fight corruption. Emphasis was placed on the importance of leadership, partnership, political integrity, open data and zero-tolerance against corruption.

On 17 and 18 May 2023, the III International Legal Forum “Tashkent Law Spring” was held in Tashkent. The event with the theme “Fundamental Rights as Eternal Values” was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan and supported by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz).
